Last Aid – care for the dying at home

Our next training will begin on May 11th 2023. 

Participants will learn how to be of genuine service to others, who may be family or friends, who are dying and who have chosen to die at home. Any person can attend this course and it can, if you wish, lead on to full training as a volunteer carer for Amitayus Home Hospice Service.

This is also the first stage of our Volunteer carer training. There are 2 subsequent trainings for volunteer carers:

2.  Skills workshop – a more hands-on half-day workshop learning how to move people in/out of bed, chairs etc

3. A non-residential retreat weekend  looking deeper at ones’s personal issues around death and dying, grief & loss.
